About Founder Sarah Leclerc

Meet Sarah Leclerc, the visionary founder of La Base and a passionate advocate for natural skincare. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Sarah's journey began with her own experiences as a mother. After discovering the remarkable healing properties of breastmilk for her son Rémy's skin, she was inspired to create a skincare range that empowers other mothers to harness the power of their bodies.

In January 2022, while balancing motherhood and her career as a pharmacy technician, Sarah embarked on a mission to develop effective skincare solutions. Her breakthrough came when she combined her breastmilk with nourishing ingredients to create a nappy rash cream. The results were astounding, leading her to refine her formula and ultimately launch her innovative Lait Labs kits.

Sarah's commitment to helping mothers is at the heart of her brand. With each product, she aims to provide families with natural, effective solutions that promote healthy skin. Today, Sarah continues to develop new products while raising her son, Rémy, and sharing her passion for breastmilk skincare with mothers across New Zealand and Australia.

My dear friend Arvy who lives in NZ told me about La Base and Sarah was so kind and accommodating to arrange shipping all the way to Malaysia! The cream works like a DREAM and it’s the only thing that keeps the eczema fully away for my little Emmi. I’ve stopped breastfeeding but I was able to ask a Mom friend to gift us more breast milk and I am so blessed to have a stash in the freezer to keep making future bottles. Thank you Sarah!!!
